Pilonidal sinus appears at the beginning of the buttocks, the tailbone. It consists of waste constituents of skin and hair. Ingrown hairs cause the formation of ulcers and inflammation.
For their removal you can include turmeric supplements. Start to add it to your dishes and it will provide numerous other positive effects. Turmeric is very successful in treating many different diseases.
What is pilonidal disease?
-In 90% of cases are diagnosed men, especially those with a lot of hairs on the body. The disease usually occurs first during puberty when hair growth and activity of the sebaceous glands is amplified.
Pilonidal disease (“Jeep driver’s disease”) or cyst is a chronic inflammation of the soft tissue above the buttocks crease. The most commonly is manifested as strongly sore festering hotbed (abscess) which locally is followed by:
– severe pain,
– fever and
– general weakness of the body.
Pilonidal disease can manifest as chronic sinus with one or more openings on the skin surface of which constantly flows festering content. Basically, it is cystic cavity filled with fibers, fibrous tissue and inflammatory cells.
Interestingly, there are disagreements about the issue whether pilonidal cysts are congenital or acquired, although is considered acquired, because in most cases the cause of irritation are ingrown hairs in the deep structure of the seat area.
It is emphasized in:
– long seating,
– bad hygiene
– excessive sweating in this area,
-The cramped and uncomfortable clothing,
– sweating in that part and friction,
– infected lymph nodes,
– damaged hair follicles,
-Using public toilets,
– weak immune system,
– allergic reactions
– stress and improper diet, etc.
Pilonidal disease can first manifest at puberty when increased secretion of glands and stimulates hair growth in this region. The disease is more common in men than in women. If left untreated it can become chronic disease that develops gradually.
Appearance of pus spots
Pyogenic foci (abscesses) which severely hurt and create tension in the seat area with redness and swelling may break alone, or surgery to pin to drain pus.
After the infection subsides, but under the most stress, pressure or reducing the overall resistance of the organism, purulent abscess again appears.
Another clinical form is the occurrence of chronic inflammation in the seat area with light swelling and redness, pain that is potentiated by prolonged sitting.
This clinical form of the disease is called pilonidal sinus.
Here’s how it should be treated:
The application of hot linings during the initial stages can reduce the growth of infection. The heat effectively increases blood circulation, thus, allowing better function of white blood cells to fight infection.
Put compresses two or three times a day, depending on the size of inflammation. This will allow it easier discharge of pus. After expiration of pus, the area should be washed with antibacterial soap and leave to dry. If you want the wound to be open, then put a bandage.
A paste of turmeric
Turmeric has many medicinal properties. The paste is made of turmeric powder much, and mixed with a little bitter salt (magnesium sulfate), honey, castor oil and iodine.
Regularly apply this paste on the sinus while to drain pus from it.
Yellow root (Hydrastis canadensis)
Yellow root powder is mixed with water to obtain a paste. This paste is applied multiple times during the day.
Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water to allow the body easier to expel toxins and reduce infection.
Onions has the best antiseptic properties compared to other vegetables. It helps in accelerating the healing process. All you have to do is to cut onions into thick slices and place on the inflamed area.
Cover with a cloth and change the linings with onions every 2-3 hours! Note: Never try to drain it by yourself, because it can worsen the situation and increase the intensity of infection.
